Deborah Mostert, LPC
Deborah Mostert is a Licensed Professional Counselor with 27 years of clinical experience in both private practice and public mental health centers. Her work with clients is based upon principles of family systems, solution focused therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy and trauma treatment, including EMDR. She is certified as an EMDR therapist by the EMDR International Association.
Deborah enjoys working with adults, adolescents, children and families in resolving trauma, depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, substance use and dependence, family problems, marital conflict and parenting issues.
In addition Deborah provides services through Hope Christian Counseling, a division of Parker, Schlichter and Associates, for clients seeking counseling in the context of a Christian perspective. In this context she uses a straightforward and commonsensical approach that recognizes that Christians live in this world and can benefit from the guidance of the Holy Spirit and the input of His Holy word, the Bible.
Deborah is a seasoned Employee Assistance therapist with 25 years of working with EAP companies in providing employees with the help they need to resolve workplace issues and personal problems which impact their work life.

She managed a $1.4 million budget and provided intensive clinical supervision to four clinicians whose duties were to engage previously reluctant clients diagnosed with severe mental illness and a substance use disorder.
